The life-giving, comforting, strengthening word of God.
Thanks for asking a question on www.thisisyourbible.com
Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me. [King James Version]
I assume you are having problems with the word "quickened" in the KJV. It means "to make alive". Here is the same verse in the New King James Version:
Psalm 119:50 This is my comfort in my affliction, For Your word has given me life. [NKJV]
Paul says something similar in Romans:
Romans 15:4 For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. [NKJV]
