What are the unicorns referred to in Isaiah 34:7?

The Hebrew word translated "unicorn" in the King James version really means a wild ox. No modern version uses the term "unicorn".  Here's how the New King James Version translates  the first part of Isaiah 34:7

Isaiah 34:7  The wild oxen shall come down with them....
