Hope and faith are closely related in the New Testament.

Hebrews 11:1  Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

1 Peter 1:21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.

Romans 5:2  through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Faith = pistis; belief; a conviction or belief in the Gospel [see Acts 8:12]

Hope = elpis; joyful and confident expectation of the fulfillment of the promises contained in the Gospel message including, salvation by God's grace through His Son and the establishment of His Kingdom on the earth at Jesus' return.

Faith concerns belief in the elements of the Gospel while Hope seems to be the earnest expectation of that in which one has faith.
