There are many examples of witnersing in the Bible. However it seems tome that the best example is that of Jesus.
His whole life was one of service to his Father. He never sinned and gave us the best example of his Father's character. As such he stands as an example for us to follow:
1 Peter1:24 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
You will notice from what the apostle Peter says that the example that Jesus left is one of obedience to God. The emphasis is upon how Jesus controlled his own emotions rather than emphasising his miracles.
