Christianity is the true religion.

Only through the life and sacrifice of Jesus Christ can we be reconciled to our creator.

The problem we have is that there are many churches with different gospels and doctrines.

This has come about because the Christian Church slid into apostasy in the fourth century AD, becoming the State Church of the Roman Empire.

It adopted the following false doctrines:

Trinity

Immortal souls

Heaven-going at death

Hell, as a place of eternal torment

Satan as a fallen angel

Division into clergy and laity

Transubstantiation

Purgatory

‘Just’ wars’,

Persecution of ‘heretics’

Etc.

In doing this the Church became Babylon, the Mother of Harlots prophesied in Revelation 17.

It ruled over kings in what became known as the ‘Holy Roman Empire’.

At the time of the Reformation, different denominations sprang up which kept many of the false doctrines of the ‘Mother‘ Church, thereby becoming her daughters.

Today we have the Bible freely available in our own language.

The Bible is written by inspiration of God and is able to make us wise unto salvation.

2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

It is essential that we compare the teachings of the different churches with what we read in the Bible.

We have the example of the Bereans:

Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

We must understand the gospel preached by Jesus and his apostles for ourselves.

The purpose of this website is to help people understand the Bible.

A free Bible Course is available for that purpose.

There is also information with scriptural support on various doctrines.

This website is run by Christadelphians (Brethren in Christ) and I believe they teach the true Gospel.

I hope you find this helpful.

God bless,
