Jesus warned of the following prior to his return:

Matthew 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

Covid-19 comes under the heading of a ‘pestilence’.

Those who believe the gospel and are baptised into Jesus Christ can pray for a solution. But it may be that the will of God is for the virus to run its course.

The world in general is a Godless place and sadly will only get worse until Jesus Christ returns to establish the kingdom of God.

Hence the first request in the ‘Lord’s prayer’:

Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Jesus said of the Jews:

Luke 21:24 And they (the Jews) shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. 25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; 26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. 27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

The Jews are back in their land indicating that the times of the gentiles are coming to an end.

Distress of nations with perplexity is to be expected – which is what we see.

I hope you find this helpful.

God bless,
