Who is the woman referred to in Numbers 12:1 as the wife of Moses? Is this another wife aside from Zipporah?

Moses first wife Zippora was a Midianite. Exodus 2:16,21

Midianites were descendants of Midian, a son of Abraham through Keturah. Genesis 25:1 Abraham was a descendant of Noah’s son Shem. Ethiopians were Cushites descended from Noah’s son Ham. Genesis 10:6 From this we might reasonably suppose that the Ethiopian woman was Moses’ second wife. It may be that Moses married her after Zipporah had died, but we are not told this.

Aaron and Miriam seemed to have a problem because she was an Ethiopian, whereas Zipporah was a descendant of Abraham.

I hope you find this helpful.

God bless,
