Please explain Matthew Chapter 16 verse 28?

Matthew 15:28 "Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom."

This prophecy is followed by the transfiguration on the mount where Jesus spoke with Moses and Elijah in glory.

This I understand to be the fulfilment of them seeing the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Of those standing with him, Peter James and John only were taken to see this vision of the future.Matthew 16:1-3; Mark 9:2; Luke 9:28-31

Moses and Elijah will not appear in glory until Jesus returns to raise and judge the dead and establish the kingdom of God on the earth. From this I conclude that what they saw was a vision of the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Matthew 17:9

I hope this helps

God bless,
