Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.

Paul says this refers to Christ.

23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus:

2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Isaiah speaks of God’s spirit being upon his servant in chapter 42.

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

As Jesus grew it is recorded:

Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

  The power of the Holy Spirit was given him without measure at his baptism.

Isaiah speaks of God’s spirit being upon his servant in chapter 61.

Isaiah 61:1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Christ applies this to himself.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

In Christ are the treasures of wisdom and knowledge that enable us to come to a full assurance and understanding of God’s purpose.

Colossians 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;

3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

Justice dispensed by men is hampered by being restricted to what is seen and heard. Christ will judge by looking into the hearts and minds.

His first ministry was a suspension of judgment to show men how they ought to live and give them an opportunity to repent.

Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

He will judge men not by the outward appearance but by what is in their heart.
