Thanks for your question.

I understand your dilemma. It is really helpful to have an overview of the Bible in your mind before you start reading it in detail. This helps to put what you are reading into the context of the "big picture".  With this "big picture" in mind, you will find the that the scriptures will open up to you in ways you never thought possible before.

For example, do you know why the very first verse of the New Testament refers you back to the life of David and Abraham in the Old Testament? Figuring out why this is so will put the Bible and the Gospel message in a whole new light for you!  Did you know that the New Testament has literally thousands of references back to the Old Testament? Having a good overview of the whole Bible will really be useful in understanding the message God is giving us in His word.

A really good way to get this overview of the Bible is to take the free online Bible study course available on our website, https://www.thisisyourbible.com.

This course will give you a background in the major themes of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. As with everything we offer, there is no cost to you other than your time and effort. You will also have a personal tutor to whom you may pose questions either from the course itself or those questions which come to you as you read the Bible.

It is completely free - except for your time and effort, of course. We do not even accept donations because it is important to us that you know we have no ulterior motives in offering our services freely to you.

Registration is easy: Go to the https://www.thisisyourbible.com website and click on one of the courses links on the homepage.

I hope you have found this helpful.

God bless!
