The name Yahweh or Jehovah first appears in Genesis 2:4 where it is translated LORD.
Genesis 2:4 This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,.
The Hebrew word without the vowel points is YHWH. Using Strong’s Concordance and the Online Bible Hebrew lexicon we find that it comes from a root word ‘hayah’ which can mean ‘exist’; ‘to be’; or ‘to become’. From this we see that the name, as well as meaning ‘I am’, can mean also ‘I will be’. ‘I am’ defines God as the self existent one, but ‘I will be’ defines God’s purpose to manifest himself in his creation. God gives his memorial name to Moses in Exodus 3:14..
Exodus 3:14 And God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And He said, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘ I AM has sent me to you..
The Hebrew for ‘I AM WHO I AM’ is ‘hayah asher hayah’ which can also mean ‘I WILL BE WHO I WILL BE’. God’s intention to make man in his own image will not be fully complete until God dwells in men. His declared intention is to fill the earth with his glory..
Numbers 14:21
but truly, as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD—
This glory was first manifested in the character of the mortal Christ.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
2 Corinthians 4:6  For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. .
And manifested in its fullness in the risen Christ endued with the divine nature..
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor... .
To partake of this same glory is promised to us..
2 Peter 1:4
by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. .
Philippians 3:21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself. .
The risen Christ was the firstfruits of the harvest yet to be realised of men and women raised to the divine nature in whom God will dwell eternally. The completion of God’s plan is an earth without sin and death filled with men and women made equal to the angels in whom God will live..
Paul explains what is to happen. 1 Corinthians 15:20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death. 27 For "He has put all things under His feet." But when He says "all things are put under Him," it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted. 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. .
In this way the purpose of God is seen in the meaning of his name – ‘I WILL BE’.  Yahweh Elohim becomes prophetic of his purpose ‘I WILL BE MIGHTY ONES’..
Revelation 21:3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God.

I hope this helps.
God bless you,
