What is the God's nature and Christ's nature?

God's nature

1. God is unique.

Deuteronomy 4:35... the LORD he is God; there is none else beside him.

Deuteronomy 4:39... the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.

Isaiah 43:10... I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah 44:8... You are My witnesses. Is there a God besides Me? Indeed there is no other Rock; I know not one.’"

AV Isaiah 45:5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6 That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. 7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

2. God is eternal.

Deuteronomy 32:40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, and say, I live for ever.

Psalms 90:2 Before the mountains were brought forth, Or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.

Isaiah 48:12... I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

3. God alone has immortality intrinsic to his nature.

1 Timothy 6:16 who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see...

4. God is eternal, immortal, invisible and the source of all wisdom.

1 Timothy 1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

5. God is Spirit.

John 4:24 "God is Spirit...

6. God is everywhere present.

Psalms 139:7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?

7. He is all knowing.

Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure,’

Psalms 139:1... 8. God is all powerful.

Jeremiah 27:5 ‘I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are on the ground, by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed proper to Me.

Daniel 2:21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.

Daniel 4:17... the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.’

Romans 13:1... there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.

God exists outside of his creation.

2 Chronicles 6:18 "But will God indeed dwell with men on the earth? Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain You. How much less this temple which I have built!

Christ's nature
 
1. Christ did not exist prior to his birth.

1 Chronicles 22:10 ‘He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son, and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’

ASV 1 Peter 1:20 who was foreknown indeed before the foundation of the world, but was manifested at the end of times for your sake,

2. Christ was born of a woman with our nature.

Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

3. Christ was sent from God in the same way that John Baptist was.

John 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

4. Christ’s nature was exactly like ours, but he had his Father’s strength of character.

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death...

5. Christ’s will was different to his Father’s.

6. Christ could not save himself.

Hebrews 5:7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,

7. He was raised from the dead by his Father.

8. Christ at his resurrection was given eternal life by God and now possesses the Divine nature.

9. Christ has been given authority both to judge to exercise God’s power in heaven and on earth.

John 5:27 "and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.

1 Peter 3:22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.

10. Christ has the power to raise the dead and judge them when he returns.

John 5:28 "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice 29 "and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation.

11. Christ has the power to give eternal life to his followers.

John 17:2 "as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him.

Philippians 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

12. Christ does not know everything that God knows.

Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

13. Christ is and will be subject to his Father when God is all in all.

1 Corinthians 15:28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
