The Christian Church had gone astray from the truth by the fourth century AD when it became the State Church of the Roman Empire.

In the following centuries the Church brought the name of Christ into disrepute by its corrupt doctrine and actions.

Despite the ‘Reformation’, many of the errors that had become part of the Church’s teaching were retained in the denominations which arose.

A good understanding of scripture, an open mind and the capacity for sound reasoning is necessary to determine the truth (the true gospel and doctrine) today.
