Suffering of one kind or another is inevitable in this life.
The only thing that can provide comfort in suffering is having a covenant relationship with God by belief and obedience to the gospel preached by Jesus Christ. This gives us the certain hope of resurrection to eternal life in the kingdom of God when Jesus Christ returns. When we are promised an end to suffering and endless joy for eternity.
Romans 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
