Leviticus 19:28 says, "You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you; I am the LORD."

Clearly this practice of printing marks on one's flesh is not pleasing to God.

See also 1 Corinthians 3:16, 17 - "Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are."

By getting a tattoo, you allow a mark of worldly fashion to be etched into your body (see 1 John 2:15-17).

Also, in getting a tattoo, you expose yourself to unnecessary health risks. You have no idea how many lives have been ruined after contracting diseases such as hepatitis from the unsanitary conditions existing in tattoo parlors. To even put yourself at such risk is to defile "the temple of God" which is your body. My advice from the Bible and common sense never mind medically is to not even think about getting a tattoo.

I hope you have found this helpful.
God bless!
